Each hangar home will have easy runway access, as well as private street access to this gated community.

This phase will also include a clubhouse, as well a large pool/lounge area, with access limited to homeowners and their guests. Also, there is a city owned park, aircraft museum, baseball park, and soccer field adjacent to the acreage.

PHASE TWO:

Community Amenities

Phase Two of the development will be on the 52 acre parcel.

This acreage is devoted to a new restaurant/bar facility, and will include a commercial hangar, as well as temporary pilot living facilities. In addition, acreage is being allocated for individual hangars to include vehicle storage and owner’s living quarters with a ‘mancave’ atmosphere.

PHASE THREE:

Phase Three of the development is on the 318 acre parcel.

This acreage is devoted to a luxury RV Park, and is designed for travelers vacationers that want to stay in a secure, relaxing enviornment. It will include a pool and recreation area, and is located a short distance from the restaurant/bar.

This phase will also include commercial cold storage facilities, as well as a commercial regular storage facility.

History

Douglas (KDGL) was dubbed the first international airport in the United States in 1933 by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Christened with seltzer water, (it was prohibition) it was the first international airport in the United States due to its very close proximity and shared runway with Mexico.
